Digestive Issues Food Testing Dr. James

Are you struggling with chronic digestive issues?

Not sure what to do?

Chronic Digestive Issues are very common. In fact, nearly 50% of chronic complaints in the United States can be connected to leaky gut syndrome. Leaky gut syndrome is a major cause of GI issues and dysfunction in the U.S.

Causes of Leaky Gut?

Stress – chronic stress can prevent proper digestion and in some cases may stop it completely.

Decreased levels of Pancreatic Enzymes – Digestive enzymes play an important role in the digestive process.

Dysbiosis – microbial imbalance in your gut has been show to weaken you gastrointestinal (GI) system.

Medications – Prescriptions such as antibiotics can destroy your GI microbes. When this happens, it can lead to GI dysfunction, diarrhea, etc.

Alcohol – Drinking alcohol is particularly troublesome when it is consumed on an empty stomach. This can lead to GI dysfunction.

Food Sensitivities and Intolerances – Eating the wrong foods can lead to increased inflammation which may lead to a variety of problems. Among them, GI dysfunction.  It is for this reason that we TEST our patients to determine what they react to!

The FoodTest95™ is a food sensitivity testing system (intolerance testing system0. It is important to note that this is NOT a food allergy test. It is VERY important that you understand the difference between the two.

FoodTest95™ is testing the IgG portion of your immune system. This is better known as the DELAYED immune reaction. Typically, this can be a 10-12 hour…sometimes up to 72 hour delayed response from the immune system. The time frame of a delayed reaction is simply too much to do any sort of elimination diet.
